Roof leaks can develop when a patio cover sends water toward an unsealed roof connection. Proper flashing, slope, fasteners, and drainage help control that path. We assess the connection and explain the repair or installation work needed. A patio cover also needs sound posts and stable attachment points, so we review those areas before preparing a quote.

Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.

Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.

Linda and her team did an excellent job! We would highly recommend them. We hired her for a kitchen remodel and asked for a very tight timeline. She delivered and we absolutely love the result. She was very commutative and available to us. Thank you Design and Build NW!

Questions about patio cover installation

What problems can patio covers cause?

Roof leaks can occur when patio cover connections lack proper flashing or drainage. Water pooling can also damage roof edges, posts, and nearby surfaces. HomeRemodelSammamish.link checks the cover attachment, roof panels, fasteners, and water path before work begins. We explain the findings in plain language and include needed connection or drainage work in the quote.

How does wind uplift affect a patio cover?

Wind uplift places upward force on roof panels, beams, fasteners, and attachment points. The support layout must connect those parts in a sound way. We review the roof surface, posts, beams, and home connection as one system. Customers then receive a work plan that identifies the planned support and connection details.

Which patio cover details change the quote?

The cover size, roof connection, post layout, materials, access, drainage work, and related repairs change the quote. We provide free estimates after reviewing the planned work. Customers can then compare the included parts and ask about any needed roof, wall, patio, or finish work before choosing the project scope.

When should I request an assessment for a patio cover?

Request an assessment before buying materials or attaching anything to the home. Early planning helps identify roof edges, post locations, drainage paths, doors, windows, and access limits. We use those details to prepare a practical work plan. This also helps customers decide whether a new cover or a different remodeling project fits the property.

Why can patio cover posts move after installation?

Post movement can follow poor support, shifting ground, weak connections, or water damage near the base. We check the post locations, attachment points, surrounding surfaces, and drainage path. The right work may involve a new cover plan or related structural repair. We explain that distinction before including the work in a quote.
