About

How custom cabinetry fits the room

Custom cabinetry connects storage planning with the room’s actual dimensions, traffic paths, and daily use. We consider cabinet runs, corner access, drawer clearance, appliance placement, and finish materials as one plan. The work may support a kitchen, bathroom, basement, room update, or whole-home improvement. Our team also coordinates cabinetry with flooring, interior updates, plumbing, electrical, and other related remodeling services when the project calls for them. The key buyer decision is whether the room needs new storage, a better layout, or both. We use an initial consultation to clarify goals, material preferences, and the work that belongs in the written scope.

Process

What to prepare before cabinet planning

A few clear details help us shape the cabinet plan around the way you use the room.

  • Mark the storage problems you want the new layout to solve.
  • Note which appliances, fixtures, doors, and windows must remain in place.
  • Gather finish, color, and material ideas that fit the room.
  • List items that need special storage, such as tall cookware or cleaning supplies.

After experiencing water damage in our home, we needed to replace all our flooring, some kitchen cabinets, and redo our primary bath. Linda and her team truly saved the day after a disappointing experience with another contractor. She worked closely with us to choose the perfect tiles for our bathroom and find flooring that suited our home. Her contractors did exceptional work, from leveling the floors to installation and cabinet remaking, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Linda answered all our questions along the way, and we cannot speak highly enough of the work she and her team performed!

Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.

Leaving a long overdue review. Linda helped us remodel our bathroom and kitchen last year. We also did some flooring improvements, and some electrical and plumbing work along the way. The pricing was very reasonable, and we appreciated that Linda was always conscious of our budget, when we made adjustments to our plan. The work was delivered very quickly on promised timelines. She had some really good suggestions around the choice of flooring, which we are thankful for (especially looking back after a year). Also appreciate her sense of style.. it helped us make the right choices for countertops, tiles and fixtures. It all looks great, our guests often comment on how beautiful our kitchen looks. Thank you!

Questions homeowners ask about cabinet planning

Who provides custom cabinetry in Sammamish?

HomeRemodelSammamish.link provides custom cabinetry in Sammamish and nearby Eastside communities. We plan cabinet layouts around room dimensions, storage needs, appliances, fixtures, and finish choices. Our work can support a focused cabinet update or a broader remodeling plan. The first consultation clarifies the room, the desired changes, and any related interior services before we prepare the written scope.

What changes the cost of custom cabinetry?

Cabinet layout, material choices, finish selections, storage features, room conditions, and related remodeling work shape the project cost. A cabinet run with unusual corners or appliance clearances needs different planning from a simple replacement. We discuss those details during the consultation and describe the selected work in a written scope before engagement begins.

How do you plan cabinets for an awkward room?

Awkward rooms need a layout built around corners, openings, appliances, and walking paths. We review those points before choosing cabinet sizes, drawer locations, shelves, and finishes. The plan also considers nearby flooring, walls, counters, plumbing, and electrical work when they affect the cabinet fit. This helps the final storage feel connected to the room.

Can you coordinate cabinetry with a larger remodel?

Yes, we coordinate cabinetry with related interior, structural, electrical, plumbing, and finish work when those services belong in the project. Cabinet decisions can affect flooring edges, appliance placement, lighting, and fixture locations. We identify those connections during planning and place the agreed cabinetry and related work in the written scope.

What should I bring to the first cabinetry consultation?

Room priorities, storage concerns, finish ideas, appliance information, and related remodeling goals help shape the first discussion.

  • Note where current storage fails.
  • List items that need special space.
  • Mark fixtures and appliances that stay.
  • Bring finish or color references.

We use those details to clarify the plan and material preferences.

Should I replace sound cabinets or change the layout?

Sound cabinets may support a finish update, but a poor layout can still waste space. We look at cabinet boxes, doors, drawers, clearances, storage access, and the room’s daily use before recommending a direction. A focused update may suit one room, while a new layout may better address blocked access or unused corners.

What does a written cabinetry scope include?

A written cabinetry scope identifies the planned cabinet work, material and finish choices, related services, and project boundaries. It gives the homeowner a clear record of what the engagement covers. We prepare that scope after discussing the room and goals, so the document reflects the selected plan rather than a generic cabinet description.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Custom Cabinetry

1

Storage Gaps In A Kitchen

A kitchen may have open corners, narrow drawers, or shelves that waste useful space. The cabinet plan needs to match appliance clearances and the way the household stores cookware, food, and small tools. We’ll review the room layout, discuss the hardest storage tasks, and prepare a written scope for the selected work.

2

A Bathroom Vanity That Feels Awkward

A vanity can limit storage when drawer placement conflicts with plumbing or the room’s walk path. Custom cabinetry gives us a way to plan the cabinet depth, sink area, doors, and finish together. We’ll discuss the bathroom’s daily use and coordinate related remodeling details before the scope is prepared.

3

Cabinet Updates During A Larger Remodel

A homeowner may want new cabinets while changing flooring, lighting, plumbing, or other interior details. Those choices need to meet at doors, walls, counters, and appliances. We’ll identify the connected work during the consultation, then set out the cabinet decisions and related services in a clear written scope.
